Self-Mastery

“Self-Knowledge is the stepping stone to Self-Mastery. Stillness is the stepping stone to connecting with the universal source of intelligence that throbs through every living thing”

“Imagination is more important than Knowledge”

“Your ‘I can’ is more important than your I.Q”

“Common sense is not always common”

“There is nothing noble about being superior to some other person. True nobility lies in being superior to your former self”

“By controlling the thoughts that you think and the way you respond to the events of your life, you began to control your destiny”

“To live life to the fullest, one must stand guard at the gate of own garden and let only the very best information enter. You truly cannot afford the luxury of a negative thought – not even one. The most joyful, dynamic and contented people of this world are no different from one another than in terms of their makeup. All are flesh and bones. All come from the same universal source. However, the ones who do more than just exist, the ones who fan the flames of their human potential and truly savor the magical dance of life do different things than those whose lives are ordinary. Foremost amongst the things that they do is adopting a positive paradigm about their world and all that is in it”

How thoughts crystallize into habits which solidify into circumstances.

In the book "As Man Thinketh" by James Allen,  explains how thoughts crystallize into habits which solidify into circumstances.

Dangerous interactions of our every seconds!

How to care the Earth with our simple steps.

Really, it is the time to make a deeper commitment to care the earth for the new generations.

Why it is required?

Despite the Human all other living creatures have the same right of utilizing the planet and its resources. But Human interventions and inventions are making the planet a very dangerous place to live till their life expectance and persecuted before.

What are these dangerous Human interventions and inventions the common man deals with?

Electronic gadgets:-

Electronic devices are a complex mixture of several hundred materials. A mobile phone, for example, contains 500 to 1000 components. Many of these contain toxic heavy metals such as lead, mercury, cadmium and beryllium and hazardous chemicals, such as brominated flame retardants. Polluting PVC plastic is also frequently used.

Health hazards of chemicals in electronics:-

Some brominated flame retardants, used in circuit boards and plastic casings, do not break down easily and build up in the environment.  Long-term exposure can lead to impaired learning and memory functions. They can also interfere with thyroid and oestrogen hormone systems and exposure in the womb has been linked to behavioural problems.
As much as 1000 tonnes of a brominated flame retardant called TBBPA was used to manufacture 674 million mobile phones in 2004. This chemical has been linked to neurotoxicity.
The cathode raytubes (CTR) in monitors sold worldwide in 2002 contain approximately 10,000 tonnes of lead. Exposure to lead can cause intellectual impairment in children and can damage the nervous, blood and reproductive systems in adults.
Cadmium, used in rechargeable computer batteries, contacts and switches and in older CRTs, can bioaccumulate in the environment and is highly toxic, primarily affecting the kidneys and bones.
Mercury, used in lighting devices for flat screen displays can damage the brain and central nervous system, particularly during early development.
Compounds of hexavalentchromium, used in the production of metal housings, are highly toxicand human carcinogens.
Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is a chlorinated plastic used in some electronics products and for insulation on wires and cables. Chlorinated dioxins and furans are released when PVC is produced or disposed of by incineration (or simply burning). These chemicals are highly persistent in the environment and many are toxic even in very low concentrations.

What are the steps we can take to care the earth with our simple steps?

Get in the habit of turning off lights, computers and appliances when they are not in use. Swap standard light bulbs for energy efficient fluorescent ones to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. If you drive to work, consider a more environmentally-friendly commute. Take public transit, share a ride with coworkers in your neighborhood or bike to work as often as possible.

Plastic items:-

Each plastic thing starts with a resin (or two or many) made from petroleum that is combined with any number of chemicals, like plasticizers, lubricants, pigments, and stabilizers, to give that thing its unique characteristics. There are over 82,000 synthetic chemicals registered for use in commerce. The vast majority of these chemicals are untested. When plastics are used, recycled or disposed of, or left in the environment as litter, they break down and release harmful chemicals. These pollutants like heavy metals, such as cadmium and lead, and chemicals such as benzene, dioxins, and other pollutants, release harmful toxins into our air, water, and ground.

Health hazards of chemicals in Plastic:-

Right now, most plastic is being wasted—sent to landfills or, more likely, incinerators, which has toxic and harmful effects on the environment and our health.
Burning plastic in incinerators releases toxic heavy metals and chemicals. Incinerators produce a variety of toxic discharges to the air, water, and ground that are significant sources of powerful pollutants, including dioxin and other chlorinated organic compounds that are well known for their toxic effects on human health and the environment.
Many of these toxins enter the food supply and concentrate up through the food chain. In addition to air and water emissions, incinerators create toxic ash or slag that must then be landfilled, which contains heavy metals, dioxins, and other pollutants.
What are the steps we can take to care the earth with our simple steps?
Recycle any plastics, cardboard (including packaged food boxes), aluminum, newspaper, cans and glass products. Reduce the amount of plastic bags that pollute the environment by purchasing re-usable bags for your shopping needs. Also can go green by giving to charity and it teaches many valuable lessons to every member of the family.

Thanks!
